Publica has been capturing the spirit of the New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival since 2016.
As the festival’s Creative Partner, 2020 has brought the renaming, reinvention and relaunch of the festival as the Jazz & Cabaret Festival. With the addition of cabaret events, the renewed programme brings a fresh and exclusive ‘night-out’ feel for festival-goers.
Bringing a diverse range of international and local artists to Christchurch, the festival required a visual approach to represent all the styles of varied performances to be staged across the city during the festival’s time.
The final flexible identity solution communicates through type, movement and oil-based paint illustrations, creating an ever-evolving visual palette. Our visual execution brings a cohesive look & feel across digital, print and outdoor mediums, resulting in a real festival feel wherever you might encounter the creative.
