For its 30th anniversary, the 2019 Cancer Society Ball was back in Christchurch city centre for the first time since the earthquakes – held at our iconic Town Hall.

We elevated the occasion to match the return to the luxurious venue, through a tailored event identity design. In distinguishing 2019, we gave a nod to the classic by showing the pearl – the traditional 30th year gift – in a luxe light. Our thinking expanded on the circular shaped motif that inspires the lead creative, year on year.

Symbolising purity, generosity, and integrity – the pearl honours all that the Cancer Society has embodied in its 30 years of service. Shown draped in rippling, golden silk akin to an evening dress, the iridescent object evokes a night of luxury.
