Building a robust platform

Skellerup Industries Ltd – a well-recognised manufacturer and supplier of quality footwear and dairy rubberware – needed a new digital platform to showcase their quality products and reflect their strong brand.

We worked closely with the Skellerup team to consolidate the existing websites for both Skellerup and Red Band – the iconic gumboot the company manufactures – into a bespoke and solitary platform.

Being conscious of Skellerup as the primary brand on the platform, we helped craft a design to maintain Red Band’s brand visibility whilst clearly communicating its place in the wider Skellerup product family.

The new site is a custom WordPress solution integrated with conversion boosting features to provide a seamless online experience for end users and increase online engagement. Our team added enhanced search, leveraged long scroll product pages and introduced a catalogue style format so customers can easily filter and view items in the company’s Dairy and Footwear ranges and locate products, brands and retailers nearest them. With an intuitive interface, visitors can also find detailed technical information, explore resources and testimonials and connect directly with the sales team.

Joining forces with the experienced team of digital marketers at Empire9, we were able to successfully migrate the former Red Band domain into the new Skellerup website without losing any of its search engine visibility, maintaining both brand’s digital presence.

With all elements combined, Skellerup now operates a future-focused and powerful platform with unparalleled functionality, features and flexibility.
