Publica was tasked to tell a new story, to create a brand identity for a Christchurch central city restaurant.
From first meet to open-day, Publica was on board in researching branding concepts, custom illustrations, spatial design and production and delivering signage and collateral design. The result – the look and feel of a far-flung destination, unlike anything the city has seen before.
Permit Room’s styling evokes the days of east-Indian alcohol prohibition, transporting diners to an imagined place where governing rules don’t apply. The considered execution of this brand story, the art direction and the styling of the collateral and wall art allows guests to experience fine-dining with added atmosphere.
