What we did
The Trade Aid website had become an out-dated and unwieldy beast that was struggling to convert sales and was actually creating work for the sales team. Publica was asked to re-develop the site. This was a large undertaking that included a redesign of the frontend and a full re-working of the backend.
Our development and design teams worked together and with the client to first understand Trade Aid’s business, their relationships with suppliers and partners, the complex systems and processes used in their sales and freight departments and the integration between their current e-commerce site and relevant API’s.
Through a carefully managed process, where our designers and developers worked together and in collaboration with the client, we created a new website that prioritised function and user experience, without compromising on branding and aesthetics.
The newly launched site is attractive and efficient. Best of all visitors to the site can learn about trade justice and the valuable work of Trade Aid across the world, as well as enjoy an online shopping experience that supports over 65 trading partner organisations, who represent hundreds and thousands of small farmers and artisans in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Palestine and the Pacific.
