Supporting Arts & Tech in Ōtautahi Christchurch

Publica’s commitment to the Arts and Tech in Ōtautahi

At Publica, we believe that thriving communities need bold thinkers, creative risk-takers, and connected ecosystems. That’s why we’re committed to supporting organisations and events that champion the arts and tech sectors in Ōtautahi and Waitaha.

Our team is proud to roll up our sleeves and contribute where we can make the most difference, not just through sponsorship, but by offering strategic, creative, and digital support that helps these organisations grow their impact and reach.

Supporting the Arts

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s alive and well in our city. We back organisations who push boundaries, challenge norms, and bring people together through storytelling and shared experiences.

  • WORD Christchurch - We provide ongoing in-kind support across strategy, marketing, branding, design, and website development – helping WORD inspire new ideas and meaningful conversations in Aotearoa’s literary landscape.
  • World Buskers Festival - From campaign strategy and marketing to creative and digital execution, we support the festival in delivering a one-of-a-kind experience that brings joy, surprise, and a touch of chaos to Christchurch every summer.
  • SCAPE Public Art - We assist SCAPE with design and marketing support to help promote accessible, thought-provoking art in public spaces across the city.

Backing the Tech community

We believe a strong tech sector fuels innovation and future-proofed businesses. Our support goes toward strengthening connections, showcasing local talent, and creating opportunities for collaboration.

  • Canterbury Tech - We contribute strategic, creative, and web support to help Canterbury Tech continue to grow as the country's most engaged tech community.
  • Tech Summit - We provide in-kind support with marketing, design, and digital, helping shape one of Aotearoa's leading technology events and driving the future of innovation forward.

Looking forward

Our community involvement isn’t a marketing line – it’s part of our DNA. We support organisations not because we want to, but because we believe in what they’re building. We’re always keen to collaborate with initiatives that align with our purpose: to add value to our people, our clients and our community.

While we’re not taking on any new community partnership requests in 2025, we’re open to discussions about how Unpopular Opinions could be part of your next event, and we're always cheering on the incredible mahi happening across our city.
