We’ve all said it. 2014 is going too fast! It’s hard to believe it’s monthly wrap time again but here’s a bit on what we’ve been doing.

The Publica Facebook page has hit 1000 likes and we are absolutely thrilled. We’d like to take the chance to say a huge thanks to everyone who has been supporting us and liking our posts! We love the feedback so keep it coming.
Team Publica Grows to 16
What was once a team of two people has climbed to 16. Publica is now made up of a broad range staff specialised across the fields of design, development and latte art. A big warm welcome to Dave our Digital Account Manager and Dayle our Account Director who joined us this month.
This month we publicised that copywriting is now formally part of the Publica skill set. From advertising headlines to brand stories, our wordsmiths can do it all.
Tongue in Groove Win Gold at Pride in Print Awards
The branded labels we created for Tongue in Groove snapped up a gold at the 2014 Pride in Print Awards. We’re very proud to have been part of Tongue in Groove’s aesthetic development – a great win for great wine.
Christchurch Stands Tall
Soon after announcing our creative sponsorship of Christchurch Stands Tall, we found ourselves talking about how they’ve captured the attention of Christchurch’s local press. Project Manager Claire Cowles scored a sneaky interview with the Sunday Star. Nice one. Keep an eye out to see what grand creations we come up with for them.
Sleep Genius hits half a million downloads
The infamous app we helped develop and can’t stop talking about, Sleep Genius, has hit a total of over half a million downloads. That’s right. 500,000. Talk about popular!
Paleo Challenge App
At the beginning of this month we saw the release of the Paleo Challenge app we developed for Andriod and iOS. Since its release the app has upheld a 5 star rating on the Apple App Store, had over 3000 downloads on iOS and 1000 downloads on Android. Thanks everyone on the Publica app development team and the folks at Paleo Challenge HQ who helped make this happen. We look forward to seeing the app continue to gain popularity.
July saw the launch of the WORD Christchurch Writers & Readers Festival brand and website for 2014! We were pretty chuffed to see the brand plastered all over the press the next day too. Thanks WORD Christchurch, you’ve been incredible to work with.
Earlier in July we created some animations for the promotion of the upcoming Kidsfest on The Press’s website. Thanks Kidsfest and The Press for having us help out!
